Felony Customs according to Shawn I made reference to this shop in a previous article when I was bitching about the shit with Chopper shops. As i stated before, Kris and i took a ride over to check out this place. There we met with Curt, and Joe, who apparently are/were the owners. Curt has since been sent off to prison for what we were told had something to do with him, an older man, and a prostitution charge (but that's just possibly a rumor, you didn't hear it from us). Joe kept quiet as he usually does during our meeting, while Curt bullshitted us the whole time. The don't have anything except a bunch of Snap On tools, that were no doubt financed on someone's overextended credit, and a Custom Chrome account. They're building kit bikes, not custom choppers. There is a difference people. We pretty much blew off and made jokes on the way home about the stuff they told us that we knew was bullshit from the jump, and figured we could work with them even if just on a paint level. They did even have some sportbike customers, and since they don't have the parts accounts to supply them with what they're looking for, they'd call us for the chrome windscreens, and rearsets, and whatever else they needed. But then there was a problem. a Honda cbr that they brought over and let sit for a month, dancing around the matter of giving us the required deposit for materials so we could get started. They finally paid it, we ordered the paint. But, they lied to the customer who's bike we were painting. They told Pete some bullshit, that his bike was done, when they hadn't even paid us for the materials and the required deposit to start the fucking thing. So next thing we know, there's a pissed off Puerto Rican guy in our shop on his Nextel calling someone tearing them a new asshole on the phone about them lying to him. Telling us that Joe at Felony told him we were the reason the bike wasn't finished. They also planned on taking credit for the paint job. Now ain't that some shit? They were also planning on charging him double for a one color job. So i put down the artwork for the same price. So they tried to rip him off, so we hooked him up. The guys at Felony are such geniuses, that they installed the wrong jet kit on the bike that was dumping way too much fuel, flooding the fucking thing. So then we couldn't get it to start when it was time for Pete to pick up the bike. Felony owed Pete a big refund, which they weren't happy about having to cough up. Especially after having the few bikes or excuse me, they're supposed to be called "choppers" returned to them because of them catching on fire, blowing up, whatever. So we had a talk with Joe. Kris pretty much told him what a joke his shop was, and the hole they're digging themselves into by operating the way they do. Joe was in tears as he told us the heart-wrenching story about how much money he lost because of having to give those guys they're hard earned money back for a fucking rolling hazard that could have potentially killed them. We report the facts as we see them. I don't feel compelled to write something for the sole purpose of trying to trash my competition. We don't have much, and there is none locally that can offer what we can. I feel the need to report what happens, when it happens. If you think this is the case, check out their website. Or what there is of it. And then check back every few weeks. The same shit is there. Moved around. They have no style, no taste. The owner doesn't even own a motorcycle of his own. Some of the paint jobs that have been popping up on their site closely resemble paint jobs we put out last year. But that's just a coincidence, right? |
